# Partner sales from Stripe Payment Links, Buy Buttons and Pricing Tables

> If you sell with Stripe's no-code checkouts, partner sales are now credited automatically. Nothing to change in your checkout.

If you sell through a Stripe Payment Link, a Buy Button or a Pricing Table, Affitor now credits the sale to the partner who sent the customer. You do not need to change your checkout or add a parameter.

## How it works

When a visitor arrives from a partner link, the Affitor tracker already on your page passes that click to Stripe. It adds a `client_reference_id` to every `buy.stripe.com` link and to every `<stripe-buy-button>` and `<stripe-pricing-table>` on the page, including ones that load later. Stripe returns it with the completed checkout, and Affitor credits the partner.

```text tab="Payment Link"
https://buy.stripe.com/…?client_reference_id=aff_<click id>
```

```html tab="Buy Button"
<stripe-buy-button buy-button-id="…" publishable-key="…"
  client-reference-id="aff_<click id>"></stripe-buy-button>
```

```html tab="Pricing Table"
<stripe-pricing-table pricing-table-id="…" publishable-key="…"
  client-reference-id="aff_<click id>"></stripe-pricing-table>
```

It works for one-time payments, subscriptions, the first invoice and renewals.

## What you need

- Stripe connected to Affitor.
- The hosted tracker on the page that holds the checkout.

## Good to know

- **First click wins.** If the buyer is already a customer of another partner, they stay with that partner.
- A `client_reference_id` you set yourself is kept, unless it starts with `aff_`.
- Visitors who have not given tracking consent, when you use consent mode, are not passed to Stripe.
- If you record clicks yourself and set `data-affitor-clicks="off"` on the tracker, it does not add the value.
